Tiffany set up Devant in 2003 to provide practical and highly effective contractual and commercial management support to companies across various industries. She is an unusual hybrid – as an engineer with a Masters in Business Law, her practical and no-nonsense approach has been invaluable in helping Devant’s clients to structure, draft and negotiate successful deals.

Her passion for making complex things simple has developed into a fully-fledged obsession with good deal-making. “We have a particularly strong fan base among the lawyer-phobic!” Tiffany says. “Our approach is to start with the business outcomes our client is looking to achieve, and work upwards from there. This strong commercial focus is a key differentiator for us in the commercial contract arena, and is very much in tune with the Jaluch approach.”

Specialisms: Tiffany loves helping companies to structure and negotiate deals that work for them, and specialises in making sure the written contract reflects the practical reality. This can be on a case-by-case basis, or through more fundamental restructuring of the client’s commercial processes and infrastructure (usually following a Commercial Audit).

Tiffany is an inspirational speaker, delivering tailored, engaging and highly interactive training workshops to build contract negotiation skills and understanding within senior management, sales and project management teams.

Strengths: Clear-thinking, business-focus, commercial legal expertise, pragmatism and the courage to say what needs saying in order to move things forward.

Interests: Cake (baking and eating). Appreciating her children as budding adults, and realising how much she’s learning from them. Spending evenings with her Popular Culture Secretary (aka her photographer husband, Simon), being inducted into the delights of his latest musical and artistic discoveries. Long walks with her large and hairy hound.

Oh and don’t tell anyone but… The only App Tiffany’s ever purchased for her iPhone is ‘Chirp’, which she uses to identify different birds’ songs on her dog walks. Her kids despair of her - but at least they can now tell the difference between a blackbird and a chaffinch!
