Given that the Statutory Disciplinary and Grievance procedures are due to be repealed and replaced with the ACAS Code of Practice imminently, we thought we would dedicate this week’s update to exploring what this means in a practical sense to those operating in the real world!

As the economic climate worsens, it’s easy to feel that everything’s very gloomy… with too little time and ever growing pressures to pull a rabbit out of the hat in terms of keeping ahead of operating costs it can seem as if an extra pair of hands, ears, eyes and a brain are required. Whilst we have the repeal of the Statutory Dispute Resolution Procedures 2004 to be thankful for this coming April and the introduction of a new ACAS Code of Conduct to look forward to (!), we thought we would focus this week’s update on Tribunal claims given the massive rise we have been seeing in employment disputes.
