Ethnic Monitoring

This is the process used to collect, store and analyse data about people's ethnic background. There is a financial/commercial exposure for some organisations that say they collect data in order to analyse it and then put in place sensible steps to ensure equality of opportunity, but many organisations never allow for any analysis time thereby exposing themselves to a claim of collecting data solely for the purposes of discriminating - rather than the opposite.
